Batch Unpacker is an OS X application that checks for, and if necessary, unpacks the bitstreams of AVI video files.

This relatively quick procedure can very often cure a "stuttering" problem that can occur when AVI video files with packed bitstreams are played on DivX enabled DVD players. This stuttering can be observed as a jerkiness when the camera pans in the movie.

Note, to run this application, you need to have the mono framework installed on your computer.

contrast, upsampling and resizing clips for use in a video editing program, or
exporting the first frame as a still image thumbnail.

The Creator/Type Batch Changer script recursively processes all files nested in a folder or folders dropped on it, changing their types and creators according to criteria you specify.

Some examples: you could change the creator of all files whose current type is MPG3 to hook (iTunes) or you could change all files creators to ogle (Picture Viewer) regardless of their current type or creator.
