Free backup restore software for mac

Camino Backup & Restore was originally made for those Camino users that want to stay on the bleeding edge of development and have to backup and restore there bookmarks, preferences and cookie preferences manually every time they download a nightly build. And I know it takes a lot of mouse clicks to do that. But of course anybody with the desire to backup can use it.
This little script automates the whole backup process for you. It will backup your files to a folder (whose name is the date on which the backup was done). And it will enable you to restore your files from this folder. How easy could it be?
Enhancements:

- This latest version has been updated for the latest official release of Camino 0.8.
- This version now also supports the Camino 0.8+ builds which contain new files.

Backup Entourage Data will back up your Microsoft User Data folder once per day. It keeps the older backup for an additional day, so if your database gets damaged and you dont notice quickly, you can go to the previous backup as well.

This application requires that your Microsoft User Data folder is in the Documents folder on your startup drive, which is the default. Youll need to have free space on your hard drive equal to double the size of your Entourage data.

Entourage should not be running while Backup Entourage Data is runing.

backup 1.0 is a professional and complete package which provides unattended backups for MacOS. When used on MacOS 10.4 (Tiger), it will generate appropriately-sized, tar-format archives, including the resource forks, in dated, sequentially-numbered burn folders on the user's Desktop, ready to burn to DVDs or CDs. (With MacOS 10.2-3, the ready-to-burn archives will not include the resource fork, and will be in folders with the suffix .fpbf).

If you have enough disk space, you can back-up your entire system. You can optionally back-up only files newer than a specified date for incremental back-ups. If you are short of disk space, you can use the -m option to manually burn each volume.

The default paths to back-up are configured into the script, so usage for regular back-ups is simply backup in a terminal, or you can double-click backup in the Finder. Optionally, the paths to back-up and various options can be specified on the command line.

iBackup 6.6.5 lends you the ability of using a simple to use backup/restore utility for scheduled backups of your system preferences, like the dock, deskop picture, time settings, firewall, bluetooth and system applications like AddressBook, Mail, Stikies, iChat, iTunes and more.

You can edit these preferences settings and add your own. iBackup do also backup/restore files, folders and applications.

Backup/Select is a backup script from James Yost for use with StuffIt Deluxe or Lite. This script is useful if you have a need for sequential back-ups of specific files and folders.

iPhone Backup Decoder script will extract the iPhone files backed up by iTunes on your Mac so that you can view and edit them.
iPhone Backup Decoder does not currently support re-encoding, but it will be added soon.
Make a copy of your /Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/ and run the script against the *.mdbackup files. The script will create a MobileSyncExport folder which will contain the extracted files.

iCal Backup AppleScript 1.0 is an effective and user-friendly tool that allows for the creation of a backup file by selecting File > Back up iCal. You can later restore iCal by double-clicking the backup file. Restoring iCal from a backup works great as long as you have a recent backup. But that's rarely the case.

You could configure iCal to create backups automatically with a little help from AppleScript. This script will backup iCal when run. You can create alarms in iCal to run scripts. To configure iCal to back itself up every day, create a repeating alarm in iCal that runs this script.
