US Academic covers all the characters defined in the Latin -1 Supplement, Latin Extended-A, Latin Exended-B, Latin Extended Additional, IPA Extensions and Combining Diacritical Marks (CDM); and the key combinations are easy to remember if you are familiar with this type of keyboard layouts. It allows to achieve practically all the possible diacritical marks and the specific characters for linguistic and phonetic use.
