Assault on Yavin Four is a text adventure game, based on the book Assault on Yavin Four from the Star Wars Missions series. The game has many puzzles, mazes, and enemies that characterize an "adventure" game. You are in serious danger of being captured or killed, so save often. The game takes place right after the first Death Star has been blown up. An Imperial cruiser has just crash-landed on Yavin Four, and the Rebel base is in danger of being discovered! You, a young Rebel soldier, have been assigned to go out and find the stormtroopers, stop them from launching a distress beacon, and locate the captain.

Dont think this mission will be easy. Random events and subtle puzzles make for a dangerous experience. yEnc TZ is a tool that decodes yEnc encoded files. I wrote it because I couldnt find an existing standalone yEnc decoder for Macintosh, and I wasnt about to pay $15 for a piece of shareware just so I could look at yEnc encoded binary files.

MT-Newswatcher 3.2 for Mac OS X advertises that it can handle yEnc encoded binary files, but it wants to hand them off to another program to do the decoding.

You can tell Newswatcher to use "yEnc TZ" to decode yEnc files.Older newsreaders dont know about the yEnc format. With older newsreaders you must save the articles and then, in the Finder, hand the saved articles to yEnc TZ.
