NICE Widget is a small tool designed to allow you to keep up to date with the latest articles from The National Institute of Clinical Excellence. NICE is an independent organisation providing guidance to health professionals.

Any new articles on the NICE website will be displayed in your Dashboard, allowing you to keep up to date at all times.

An article on MacDevCenter talked about using applescript as an alternative to Safaris "Empty Cache" feature.

It unfortunately wouldve been better off as a shell script than an applescript. I rewrote the script to be more applescript-like.

This eBook has search capabilities. It is available in both EXE and PDF formats. Plus, it includes a contents list with each category and a bio on each author. You can also have your own custom copy made with your articles listed on the front page.

As reported by William Carrel, at http://www.carrel.org/dhcp-vuln.html, the default setting for LDAPv3 directory access in Panther and earlier versions of Mac OS X creates a potential vulnerability.
Apple has released information on a workaround at:

This procedure does disable the vulnerabilitys access point. However, some folks may not be comfortable changing Directory Access settings, or may not want to walk remote users through it.
So, this script does that via UI scripting. Because it has to use UI scripting, it only works on Panther, (thats the only OS release that I can count on having UI scripting installed on.)
You also MUST be able to authenticate as an administrator on any mac you run this on.
So, lets review...to use this script, you MUST:
1) Be running some version of Panther
2) Be an administrator on the machine you run the script on.
Enhancements:

If you use iCal and eBay, this one is for you.
Whenever you visit an article page in Safari, you can automatically create an event for that article (including a reminder 15 minutes before) in iCal by running this tiny applescript.
Enhancements:
- Version 1.8 fixes parsing problems with ebay.au and ebay.co.uk and should work for the U.S., Australia, UK, and Germany.

Image Cataloger is an Applescript that will create an image catalog of images found in a indicated folder.
Run the script--youll see what I mean!
