AppleWorks wont open? Heres the cure.
This is a simple Applescript app to delete the preferences files for you, which should get you back in action.
Enhancements:
- As of 2.0, AppleWorks Mechanic is a proper application with a full GUI for deleting Caches and User Data in addition to Preferences (which were handled in 1.0).

AppleWorks Change Case is an AppleScript that adds a Change Case command to the Script menu in AppleWorks 6. Options for UPPERCASE, lowercase, And Title Case.
Enhancements:
- Has Title Case working for text already in ALL CAPS.

AppleWorks File Repair 1.0.1 is an update designed to resolve AppleWorks documents damaged when the documents are saved from AppleWorks 6 running on a Mac OS X 10.2.x client to an AppleShare or compatible file server. Damage to the file from any other source or circumstance cannot be repaired by this utility. To repair damaged documents, drag individual files or folders to the AppleWorks File Repair Utility icon in the Finder.

A copy of the original file will be repaired, and the prefix "Fixed" will be added to the name of the repaired file. The repaired file will be saved in the same folder as the original damaged file. Permissions settings: the permission settings of the repaired file will be owned by the user running the utility.

Requirements: Mac OS X 10.2.6 or later.

You can now with this! The current word count of the active document is shown in a window you place along-side your document. You can even enter the word count youre aiming for and have the percentage completion displayed!

Unfortunately AppleWorks 6 introduced some bugs and crashes after a few word count updates. :( Even my Sierpinski triangle demo doesnt work anymore.

The Clean Text for Pasting script fixes a problem when pasting text from a program like Quark or AppleWorks into Adobe GoLive. Instead of getting [p] after paragraphs, you get [br].
