BlackBerry Desktop Manager 1.0 is a useful software for Mac users that can smoothly and seamlessly sync data from Mac applications like iCal, Address Book, Microsoft Entourage and others. It can also add and remove applications, schedule automatic backups, encrypt backup files and install software updates for their BlackBerry smartphone.

BlackBerry Desktop Manager Software also integrates BlackBerry Media Sync, enabling Mac users to sync their iTunes music collections with their BlackBerry smartphone. From within the BlackBerry Desktop Manager software, users simply select the desired iTunes playlists and the music, including song information and album art, is quickly transferred onto their BlackBerry smartphone.

The New Desktop Picture AppleScript retrieves an HTML page from MacDesktops, scans it for the newest picture, downloads that picture and then sets the current desktop picture to the downloaded picture.

Total Desktop Rebuild is a free system extension that allows you to completely erase all your desktop files so that they are rebuilt from scratch when the startup process is over. To delete all the desktop files on all your disks, simply hold down the Command and Option keys while Total Desktop Rebuild is loading. A small red flash is then added to the startup icon, and Total Desktop Rebuild attempts to do its job.

Total Desktop Rebuild needs the desktop files to be closed in order to delete them, which may not be the case if some previously loaded extension has opened them. I added a space character before the extension’s name to make it load early, but you might have to further arrange your extensions’ loading order if Total Desktop Rebuild doesn’t seem to work.

Note: Total Desktop Rebuild will completely delete all your file comments.

Total Desktop Rebuild is a power user tool and shouldn’t be used if you don’t know what you are doing

Desktop Rotate is an AppleScript that Will cycle through the images in a dropped folder and use each image as the desktop picture for 10 minutes.

Completly freeware.

Desktop as Screen Saver is a simple AppleScript that allows the user to use the current Screen Effect (screensaver) as their desktop picture. User can subsequently revert back to their static desktop picture using the same script.
