Sometimes we miss events because iCal does not have a preference for default alarms on events. The iCalAlarmSetter script visits all writeable iCal calendars searching for future events that do not have alarms.

For each such event found, it prompts the user to select a trigger interval (or none) for a new sound alarm to be attached to the event.

iAlarm allows users to control how they wake up in the morning by leveraging the power of OS X. iAlarm provides 7 basic alert types for users; play iTunes, speak the local weather, speak the headline news, speak a custom message, speak your daily events and to do items from your iCal calendar and of course a standard beep. Advanced users can create their own custom AppleScript to be executed by iAlarm or select text files to be spoken.

Quickset Alarm is a simple reminder alarm writen in AppleScript that features very fast setup (minimal button pushing) on your numeric keypad.
