Alarm will put a text file on your desktop with the alarm time, just in case you forget what time you set it to go off.
When it does go off, the text file is automatically trashed, the reminder message stays on screen for 20 seconds, and Alarm quits itself straight away.

To add variety, it wont play any of the last 10 tracks it has already picked. That little gimmicky feature is really the only thing this program does that other programs dont.
I had a similar alarm system set up in Windows, and basically I wanted the same thing in Mac OS X.
