How FUSE-compliant is MacFUSE? Well, enough so that many popular FUSE file systems can be easily compiled and work on Mac OS X--often out of the box.
Examples of file systems that work have been tested (to varying degrees) include sshfs, ntfs-3g (read/write NTFS), ftpfs (read/write FTP), wdfs (WebDAV), cryptofs, encfs, bindfs, unionfs, beaglefs (yes, including the entire Beagle paraphernalia), and so on.
Besides making many existing FUSE file systems available on Mac OS X, MacFUSE opens up a whole new set of opportunities for Macintosh developers, who can now put intuitive and innovative interfaces around all kinds of information.

DownloadStory 1.3 is released to be a great product which aims to facilitate downloading all of a fanfiction story off of any of the biggest fanfiction websites. Once downloaded, the entire story is available even when you are offline - great for installing on an iPhone to read on the go, or on your laptop on airplane trips.
Once you provide the web page address of the beginning of the story (the first chapter always works, and I try to support index pages as well), then the software will download each chapter in the background, saving the files into a temporary folder created on your desktop. While this is going on you can do anything else you want.
Once the software has downloaded all of the chapters, it combines all of the them together into your preference of a html or text file. Finally it takes that compiled document and puts it in a folder called "New Stories" on your desktop. From there you are welcome to use it however you wish.

It is basically designed to display any kind of information embedded in picture files, as well as checking, filtering, extracting, removing, adding and fixing such information. In other words, its a metadata processor.
It supports the following file formats: JPEG/JFIF, Adobe PSD and FFO, raw IPTC. And it knows about the following metadata formats: JFIF, IPTC, Exif, Adobe and Fotostation. More file and metadata formats might be supported later (TIFF, etc.).
It aims to be portable (see supported platforms below). One of its main goals is to check the validity of parsed metadata as well as optionally check the strict compliance to official standards. On another hand, it aims to provide ways of fixing broken or not compliant chunks as well as providing general basic functions to manipulate the metadata.
