Apple AFP Client Update 1.0 is a feature-rich and trustworthy program which improves the reliability of data accessed from an AFP server when using AppleWorks. This update also prevents files from being corrupted on logout if the file is open in AppleWorks.

Jaffer is a Java implementation of an Appletalk File Server over TCP. Jaffer is concerned with the latest AFP specifications and supporting OS X and OS 9 clients. It is mainly focused on a tight, clean, fast codebase that is very portable and embeddable.
This program will act like a native Appletalk file server. You must run it as root to use Appletalks normal port 548. But its just as happy running on any unpriviledged port. To access shadow passwords, the server must be run as root.
