addressbook2pine is launched with an aim to sync your OS X address book with pines and alpines addressbook. more>>
addressbook2pine 1.4.7 is launched with an aim to sync your OS X address book with pine's and alpine's addressbook.
Simply launch addressbook2pine and it will process all of your contacts in your address book and create a tab delimited file readable by pine/alpine. The resulting .addressbook file will contain the following values for each field:
- Pine: OS X Addressbook
- Nickname: Company, Group, Phone, Birthday, Nickname, First Name, Last Name, First & Last name, blank + optional unique id and optional email id.
- Fullname: Full name (First, Middle, Last, and Suffix) + optional email id.
- Fcc: Global fcc path + Contact's Group, Email, or Full Name.
- Comment: Notes, Company, Group, Url, Phone, or Birthday.
- Addresses: Email(s) (with optional distribution lists)
Addressbook2pine can also take all contacts in a pine/alpine .addressbook file and import them into OS X Address Book. Each successfully imported contact is then automatically added to a group within OS X Address Book labeled "addressbook2pine" for easy tracking purposes.
Requirements: Mac OS X 10.3 or higher
AddressBook2LDAP 0.2.6
AddressBook2LDAP is a powerful and splendid tool which allows you to share your Address Book contacts with others via a LDAP directory. more>>
AddressBook2LDAP 0.2.6 is a powerful and splendid tool which allows you to share your Address Book contacts with others via a LDAP directory.
It transfers selections of contacts (individuals or groups) from the Address Book to the LDAP directory. The address book already has the capabilities to connect to LDAP and access contact information. Many mail clients can access and LDAP directory as well to access address information.
Requirements: Mac OS X 10.3 or later.
Enhancements:
- Version 0.2.6 includes the feature to migrate the primary address of an entry in the AddressBook to the LDAP directory.
- Several request have been received to address for various LDAP attributes to be populated.
- This release attempt to address most of them.
HTMLize AddressBook 1.1.1
HTMLize AddressBook - Convert your Apple Address Book entries to HTML more>>
Main features:
- Non-interactive operation: Once youre comfortable with the script, you can turn the interactive option off by changing the setting in the applescript (at the top, after the comments). This is useful if you want to run the applescript periodically, automatically.
- Exporting to LDAP: This script can be used for serving addressbook data over LDAP too. Check out the README.ldap in this package. Note that this is a highly advanced feature, and probably doesnt work at all
- Exporting a subset: Another useful setting in the applescript that you can change is "generate_groups". If you specify a list of groups there (see the applescript for example), only that list of groups is exported to HTML. This way you can share a subset of your Address Book, with friends or family, say.
- Each time you change this list, however, I strongly recommend removing the website/timestamp file. This will make sure your website is populated with all, and only those, records that are required.
Enhancements:
- Version 1.1.1 adds Disk image download and new icon!

Export AddressBook as vcards 1.0
Export AddressBook as vcards - Export each entry in the OSX Address Book as separate vCard more>>
I wrote the script because of the way drag-and-drop is implemented in Address Book version 3.1.1 If all the cards in the Address Book are selected and dragged into an open Finder folder, a single .vcf file is created with all the names in it.
I wanted to export each entry as a separate card. The resulting vCards can be imported into Entourage or emailed to others for addition into Outlook.

It will scan the main Address Book database for cards that do not belong to the group specified by the user in the Dialog Box.
The names of the cards meeting this criterion are placed in a group called "NotinGroupName". This prevents you from losing track of which cards you add to the main Address Book database but belong to different groups such as "Palm", "Work", etc.
