How often have you sent an email to a work colleague using your home email address? Its not easy to remember to set the right account on every outgoing message, is it?

This script will set the account of an outgoing message to a non-default account if the message is addressed to a contact in your address book that has a category you define when you first run the script.

Set Account by Cat is an AppleScript that sets the account of an outgoing message according to the category of the recipients.

With Auto-Reply Account (Entourage) you can set up a Mail Rule and a Schedule to answer specific mail by Auto-Reply, using a different e-mail account from the one to which the mail is received.

The script is particularly useful if you have a number of “dummy” receiving accounts and want your auto-replies to go out from SMTP-only accounts with the same name, instead of from your all-purpose main POP account to which the dummy-addressed messages get redirected.

You can also use this script to send auto-replies from your default account in order to avail yourself of the superior text-quoting and storage options offered.
