Though many new asteroids games claim to be 3D, they are in fact flat 2D games with 3D effects. GrassGames 3D Asteroids is the first asteroids game to enter the third dimension for real.

Using a unique six-view screen and a special control system, your task is still to dodge and destroy asteroids, but this time you have to watch your back - and every other direction you can think of.

3D Asteroids offers something original and fresh for all players yet faithful to the original, classic Asteroids game in all respects, but the extra dimension.

3D cube is an iMovie plug-in that takes your clip, and wraps it around a cube spinning in 3D space. the effect additionally supports “fold-to” and “unfold-from” effects. you have control over the cube’s size, 3D zoom effect, and rotation speed.

background color
this defines the color of the background when the clip is not obscuring the whole surface.
lens
this slider controls the zoom lens. the further you zoom in, the more pronounced the 3D effect of the cube
rotation
this slider controls the rotation of the cube during the effect.
size
this slider controls the size of the cube.
effect
this pop-up defines which effect to generate:
- fold in will gradually fold the clip to the cube
- fold out will fradually unfold the clip from the cube
- turn will turn a clip that is wrapped around the 3d cube

3d Paddle Bash! is a 3D version of pong, for Macintosh. I originally released it in 1993 (around the time Mac OS 7 came out) as a modestly-priced shareware game. It got pretty good exposure for a few years, and thanks to the publisher SofSource it was even available for a short while in CompUSA and other stores.
In 2000 I released version 1.4 (downloadable below) removing the shareware notices and making it free for anyone to own and play. While the computers it was written for are obsolete many times over, the game still works!
My thanks to everyone who played both this and 3D Brick Bash! over the years, especially the people who registered!
