Checksum Validator 1.0.0
Checksum Validator - allows you to calculate and validate checksums more>>
More sites are including either MD5 or SHA-1 checksums for their files. With this utility, you can verify that the file you download matches theirs; ensuring that there was not corruption of the data or tampering by anyone else. Checksum Validator can produce and validate either type of checksum.
Of the two checksums MD5 is more common and it will be 32 characters long (written in hexadecimal notation, so that is 16 bytes or 128 bits), but SHA-1 is 40 characters long (20 bytes, 160 bits) and is considered a little more secure than MD5.
For more information on checksums and the MD5 and SHA-1 digests head over to Wikipedia, they have many good articles explaining the details on message digests or the "official" term of, cryptographic hash functions, and articles on the MD5 and SHA hash functions.
It is extremely easy to create and validate checksums with Checksum Validator:
To create a checksum just drag any file onto the Checksum Validator application icon or into its Drag Well window. You can also use the typical MacOS "Open " item from the "File" menu or use - o.
To validate a checksum, merely go to your browser and highlight and copy the checksum from the website where you downloaded the file and then paste that into the Checksum Validator window that is showing the calculated checksum of your copy of the file. Hit return or enter on your keyboard and Checksum Validator compares and shows the results.
Whenever a file is opened in Checksum Validator the program immediately begins to calculate the checksum. The digest it uses is the default one you set in Checksum Validators preferences.
But you can always click the other digest in the individual windows to have Checksum Validator calculate a checksum with the other digest.

- TypeSet: TypeSet provides precise automatic formatting of your script to industry and international standards. The Celtx server uses the very powerful LaTex typesetting tool to deliver perfectly formatted scripts. Full support is provided for optional formatting features like Mores and Continueds, Scene Numbering and paper size. Encryption technology protects every project upload & download between the Celtx Server and the desktop.

Then when you're ready, use the slideshow feature to play the images to help pre-visualize your media project.

Each Celtx project includes a Master Catalog which auto-populates as you breakdown your script, ultimately providing a searchable dashboard view of all your story's elements and production items. Additional Sub-Catalogs can be created for specific production categories - like props, characters, and wardrobe.

Swap Cop 1.1.2
Swap Cop - Move OSX swap files to different volumes. more>>
I removed Linux, since I could SSH, emacs, and perl perfectly fine in OS X, and the old Linux directory became an MP3 disk. But OS X is huge, and I felt a little cramped in the 1.7 GB partition, and backing up all the data I had would be too difficult, so repartitioning was out of the question.
But even that was not enough. I saw that there was a swap disk that was taking up a minimum of 80 MB, and more likely 160 MB or more (increasing in size as you use OS X). So why not move it to my MP3 partition (where space wasnt as much an issue), and reclaim the space on my main disk. Thus Swap Cop was born.
Why would you want to do this? Perhaps you are in the same position with an ill-arranged partitioning scheme like I was.
Or maybe you have a small disk that you would like to dedicate to swapping, to increase your OS performance. I originally made the change by hand, but realized that it wouldnt be too hard to have a user friendly software that would take care of it.

Partition the hard-drive into three sections, one each for MacOS 9, LinuxPPC, and (for the future) OS X (with a few extra utility partitions for Linux swap space, etc.). But then OS X came along, and so did an MP3 collection. So I wrote Monolingual ( http://homepage.mac.com/jschrier/ ) to remove the unnecessary language resources. But even that was not enough. I saw that there was a swap disk that was taking up a minimum of 80 MB, and more likely 160 MB or more (increasing in size as you use OS X).
