CHV Silk and Fog is a free plugin for Final Cut Pro (all versions) and Final Cut Express (all versions) which provides you with 5 effects.
Silk
This effect is mostly used on wedding-videos. It gives the video a silky shine.
Fog
Use this to generate fog.
Shadows
This option generates mystical shadows.
Borders
With this setting the video will get darker and a halo will appear around edges.
Flatten
This setting flattens out the contrast and the colors.
In addition the Final Cut Express version provides you with real keyframes!!
Keyframes make it possible to make effects change over time. Originally Final Cut Express does not support keyframes and therefore all plugins would be doomed to be motionless. Silk and Fog V4.0 of CHV is different, because all keyframe functionality is already included within the plugin itself.
Enhancements:
- The Final Cut Express version provides you with real keyframes!
- 2 new effects have been added: Border and Flatten
- Black borders can now be cutted
- The selected area can now be frames with a customizalbe border.

PS2PDF and Friends is a collection of drag-and-drop AppleScripts that convert among different Adobe file types. The stars of the show are the PostScript to PDF converters, which emulate different settings of Acrobat Distiller. There are other useful file converters and optimizers as well.
Enhancements:
- Fixed compatibility with Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger.
- Tracked down and fixed a bug where Ghostscript cant properly process Postscript files with text that were created through OS Xs print dialog. Output may not be optimal for these files, however.
- Changed PostScript to PDF scripts to accept EPS files.
- Added a "PSTOPDF OS X" script utilizing Mac OS X 10.3 and 10.4s "pstopdf" command.
- Added a "PS2PDF eBook" script.
- Changed "PS2ASCII" converter to accept EPS files.
- Added an "EPS2PS" script.
- Clarified certain issues and functionality in Read Mes.
- Added code so that files would appear immediately after processed.
