You can specify rules for automatic conflict resolve - use newer or older file, specify direction for writing changes.
PYBAG is cross platform and independent from OS and filesystem. Symbolic link realy supported on the all OS (if OS or filesystem not support symlink then they emulated).

The GenoViz project includes three components:
- GenoViz SDK (software development kit) is a library of re-usable components for genomics data visualization.
- Genometry is a unified data model to represent relationships between biological sequences. It is mainly used in the Integrated Genome Browser
- Integrated Genome Browser (IGB, pronounced "ig-bee") is a desktop application that uses both the GenoViz SDK and Genometry. It supports visualization and exploration of genes, genomes, and genome-scale data sets, especially data from genome tiling arrays.

Note: Make sure that you have disabled the 'Keep iTunes Music folder organized' option in iTunes preferences (Preferences > Advanced), so that iTunes won't try to rename your files.
Usage:- In iTunes main window, select the tracks that correspond to the files you want to rename .
- In the Applescript menu (in iTunes), click the menu item labelled 'Clochette File Renamer'.
- Choose your preferred settings in the Clochette application main window. See the application contextual help for more info on tag options for building new patterns.
- Click the 'Rename Files' button in the Clochette main window.
- Quit Clochette or go back to iTunes.
