Maybe this is pointless for those already got used to the Dock, There is a reasonable amount of users that still prefer the menu bar for switching apps. Old habits die hard. In its current state Ambar is more or less a test and demonstration for getting an application's window list - which is quite difficult to accomplish under Mac OS X.
