acgi dispatcher 2.5 comes as a sophisticated program with the power to use traditional apple scripts or other programs that ran as acgi programs under OS9 on OSX with apache. Dispatcher will happily send events to applications running in the classic environment as well as OSX native scripts and applets. It runs as a background process so you do not need to always display the window and dock icon if you dont wish to do so.
It can also run when your Mac is logged out, but that brings with it a host of other potential issues since the program and all the scripts started from it will run as root. See the documentation for more information on this.

MultiDockX 1.5b
MultiDockX is a program for extending the usefulness of Apples Dock software currently being shipped with OS X. more>>
MultiDockX 1.5b is a program for extending the usefulness of Apple's Dock software currently being shipped with OS X. The main problem with the Dock application is that many users will want to load it up with so many programs that the icons get so small to the point that they are hard to see and difficult to manage.
To circumvent this problem, MultiDockX creates multiple dock configurations and loads them into the Dock application dynamically as the user needs. Therefore, a user can keep all of his/her graphics applications on one Dock called "Graphics" and all of his/her DTP applications on another called "DTP", etc. This reduces the clutter and helps keep the dock from becoming overloaded.
Furthermore, MultiDockX allows the user to keep different preferences for his/her different docks. Thus if you have a "Graphics" dock, you can set it to auto-hide in order to make more room for your work, but all the rest of your docks will stay visible. Also, you can put one dock on the left side of the screen, and another at the bottom, and each dock will remember where it needs to display when it is loaded. The user can also include a particular application on more than one dock at a time. Thus if you always want to have access to iTunes, you can keep it on all of your docks.
MultiDockX also allows you to edit dock configurations without going to System Preferences. It even lets you edit the configurations for docks which are not currently visible.
When you enable submenus, MultiDockX becomes a handy, system-wide application launcher and document organizer which takes up as little screen real estate as possible. MultiDockX is also the only dock manager utility on the market which has SimulDocks?, a feature which allows you to switch between various docks by "mousing over" the edges of the screen.
Note that MultiDockX only allows you to have one dock on screen at a time.
MultiDockX is lightweight augmentation to Apple's Dock. It requires under 500k disk space and runs inside 600k of memory. It also retains all the features of the Dock, which means there is no relearning, and the Dock will continue to function even if you quit MultiDockX or uninstall it.
It is also the fastest and cheapest shareware solution that I have found for managing the dock.
Dock Clock 2.1.4
Dock Clock is an application bring your clock a clock more>>
Dock Clock 2.1.4 is an application that places a clock in your clock. It is fully customizable. Just click and hold on the Dock Clock icon in the dock and select "Preferences" from the list that appears.
The Universal dilemma:
Why isn't this a Universal application? Because REALsoftware hasn't fixed a problem with the REALbasic 2000 series that ruins the dock icon. I will make it a Universal application when they fix it.
Major Features:
- Select your own pictures for the face of the clock
- Aqua, graphite, and brushed metal (plus many more!) presets included
- Planet view preset is included so that you can see the progress of the light and dark across the western hemisphere
- Show/Hide face
- Customizable colors
- Thick/Thin border
- Hourly alarms
- Quick access to the Date and Time preference pane
- Analog specific:
- Show/Hide Numbers
- Numbers or Roman Numerals
- Show/Hide the second hand
- Show/Hide AP/PM
- Hands/Moving dots
- Bold hands option
- Four or twelve tics around the face
- Circular or square face
- Digital specific:
- 12/24 hour time
- Flashing time separators option
- Show/Hide AM/PM
- Show/Hide seconds
- Sometimes the icon flickers when magnification is on, especially if the user's custom picture is very large.
- Note: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) does not support this software. A fix is impossible at this time. Again, Dock Clock will not run on Leopard.
