This processor was a modified version of the 6502, found in the Commodore 64 and Famicom, which included several new opcodes and it clocked at much faster speeds than either the Commodore 64 or Famicom. the PCEngine's real power, though, lies in its video processor: a custom 16-bit chip capable of displaying 512 colours and 32 sprites simultaneously.
