Orthodox Icons Screen Saver 1.1 will make you satisfied because it contains a set of 12 rotating images of handpainted Orthodox icons. Included in the set are icons of Christ, Mother of God, Guardian Angel, and several saints.
Original icons were painted by Hieromonk Andrey and other iconographers at Holy Trinity Monastery, Jordanville, NY. Icons are shown hanging on a wall. The rotation of the icons is meant to show the golden background effect.
If you have images of orthodox handpainted icons, their background appears to be of a yellowish color without any shine. However, the rotation makes icons to look 3 dimensional, and makes their golden background to reflect light and shine.
