Dial Phone From X is an AppleScript-based solution that can be used to automatically dial the phone using your computers modem from within a variety of applications.

Since AppleScript cannot dial the phone alone, the application ABDialer, available from Macron Software, is required for this solution to function

This solution consists of the following AppleScripts:
• Dial Phone From Address Book - This solution will use ABDialer to automatically dial the phone number of a selected contact in Mac OS X’s Address Book application.

• Dial Phone From Anywhere - This solution will use ABDialer to automatically dial a phone number that has been copied to the clipboard.

• Dial Phone From FileMaker - This solution will use ABDialer to automatically dial a phone number in a specified field in the current record of an opened FileMaker Pro database. A sample FileMaker Pro 7 database is included.

• Dial Phone From Excel - This solution will use ABDialer to automatically dial the phone number of a selected cell in Microsoft Excel.

Sony Ericsson Address Book Enabler is a smart tool that adds SMS & Call support for over 30 new Sony Ericsson mobile phones to the Mac OS X Address Book application.
