Weather Desk 1.0 Beta 2 is designed to fill the gap in the first beta release with the added radar images so that it can automatically set the desktop to an updated image of the Earth while the menu extra is open. You can also manually set the desktop from the main application. This feature is disabled by default, you can enable it and choose settings from the Preferences window.

Several buttons now appear below image views. These have various functions, such as opening the home page of the service from which the image is downloaded, viewing the image in Preview, or setting the desktop to the image. Not all of these options are available for each image.
