Yank is an all-purpose uninstaller for Mac OS X. Yank can uninstall almost any software and all its support files, no matter how it was installed. The result is a leaner, faster, safer Macintosh.
Mac users usually remove software simply by deleting the program file from their hard disk. However, this does not remove the numerous support files that most programs sprinkle liberally through the users file system.
Because most Mac programs do not ship with uninstaller programs, these unneeded program support files accumulate on the hard drive, consuming disk space and possibly degrading system security and performance.
