PocketMac, the original Mac-to-Pocket-PC sync software allows Mac users to transform their Pocket PC into a portable Macintosh.
Until this product was created, there was no way for these two systems to communicate; the Pocket PC is a Windows-based PDA and does not have any native ability to talk to a Mac.
PocketMac exchanges and keeps up-to-date Mac users vital data.
It can sync things like contacts, calendar, tasks, word/excel docs, and MP3s with applications from Microsoft Entourage, iCal, Address Book and Microsoft Word/Excel.
Main features:
- Bluetooth Sync - You can now sync your Pocket PC or Pocket PC Phone to your Mac using Bluetooth in addition to USB and Airport/Network connections.
- Address Book Sync - You can sync OS X Address Book Contacts with your Pocket PC or Pocket PC Phone and vice versa.
- iCal Sync - You can sync iCal Calendar and Tasks with your Pocket PC or Pocket PC Phone and vice versa. Full support for multiple calendars now in PocketMac Lite 3.0.
- iSync Integration - When you run iSync, you can do all your synching at once. PocketMac Lite 3.0 is now fully integrated with iSync on your Mac; this means whenever you run iSync, PocketMac Lite will run as well. For those who prefer a non-iSync solution, you can run PocketMac Lite independently.
- Desktop Mounting - Every time you insert a memory card into your Pocket PC or Pocket PC Phone, PocketMac Lite will show those cards on your desktop so that you can access the files on them and copy files to them.
- Internet Sharing/Avantgo synchronization - You can have your Pocket PC or Pocket PC Phone connected to your Macs Internet connection when youre linked via PocketMac Lite 3.0. You can also sync AvantGo content from your Mac to your Pocket PC.
Version restrictions:
- You can only sync iCal Tasks to your Pocket PC and vice versa in demo version.
