Open Long Url 0.4.1

Open Long Url 0.4.1 is very helpful extension for Firefox, Mozilla and Thunderbird  that adds an option to your File menu which allows you to open URLs that span several lines. It solves the problem of long urls recieved in email, that has been broken up onto two or more lines.

In the options dialog you can enter a list of other characters you would like to have stripped out of URLs. For example, in emails, sometimes each line of a forwarded message starts with > symbol. When ths has been added to the list, it will be automatically stripped out of all urls.

Usage:

1. Click File > Open Long U RL (or press CTR+ALT+O)
2. Enter the long url into the dialog that appears
3. Select if you want it to open in a, new window, new tab, or current window and tab
4. Click Open
