Mail4Kids was designed to be fun, safe and easy to use for kids ages 3-10. An address book lets the parent define who mail can be received from and sent to and can include pictures to make it easier for kids to select recipients. Buttons on the user interface can talk to help your child more easily learn how to use the program.
Also, mail can be read aloud to those kids that cannot read.
Kids will find sending mail a joy with the built-in drawing program including fun "stamps" that they can use to decorate their drawings. Mail4Kids also includes a spell-checker so your kids can check the spelling of their outgoing e-mail.
Main features:
- Secure - Only messages to and from people in the address book are allowed.
- A drawing program is integrated into Mail4Kids to allow even those that cant read or write express themselves. (and of course, those that can too)
- Speech engine to help kids understand the actions associated with all the buttons. Its on by default, but you can turn it off when your kid(s) understand how to use it without help.
- Messages can be read aloud to kids that cant read yet.
- Only picture attachments can be opened preventing viruses, programs and other unwanted content from being viewed or run.
- Pictures are viewed in the internal viewer, no external program launch is needed.
- The address book can include pictures of each entry to help kids select the recipients visually.
- Any list with to or from fields has pictures to visually depict who the messages is from/to.
- A password can be used to prevent kids from changing the preferences, and altering the address book.
- The sent items folder and trash folder can be password protected to you to monitor your childs e-mail usage.

- The trial version will show a startup registration reminder and will apend a tagline to every message sent.
