grepArtee 3.0

grepArtee 3.0 allows you to search in a graphical user interface for the Unix grep command. The grep command lets you search any text file for patterns. The pattern can be any string of text or can use Unix regular expressions for sophisticated pattern matching.

Major Features:

1. You can search a single file or use standard Unix methods to specify many files (such as *.txt). The search can be for a set of files or for all files in a set of directories.

2. A search of directories can be extended recursively to include all subdirectories.

   • For example, by searching all directories recursively beginning in the directory ~/Library/Mail/Mailboxes, you can use grepArtee to quickly search all the email messages stored on your computer.
