Gmail Browser is a nice and easy-to-use browser that is dedicated to running Gmail (and Google calendar).
Why? Well, for me, reading email is usually a work activity, while web browsing is mostly play. And so, when I check my email, I easily get distracted by other web sites.
Separating Gmail from the rest of the internet helps me concentrate.
Gmail Browser is an enhanced version of an idea I saw here. The enhancements are:
Main features:
- Correct handling of adding and downloading attachments
- Handles mailto links
- Printing works
- Delete all spam button works
- Support for other Google URLs (e.g. Google Apps For your Domain)
- Nice-ish icon
Gmail Browser is based on WebKit, just like Safari. As a result, some features of Gmail (e.g. rich-text email composition) as well as Google Docs and Spreadsheets, are not available in Gmail Browser.
