Eudora Internet Mail Server Light 3.3.9

Eudora Internet Mail Server Light 3.3.9 is created to be a simple and effective Internet mail server for Macintosh. If you need to handle email for a dozen users, or thousands of users, EIMS is a reliable and easy to use solution.

1. The POP3 server supports RFC 1939 Post Office Protocol - Version 3, with APOP, CRAM-MD5, DIGEST-MD5, and NTLM authentication.
2. The SMTP server supports RFC 821 Simple Mail Transfer Protocol, with the SIZE extension, command PIPELINING, 8bit and binary messages, and SMTP Authentication with CRAM-MD5, DIGEST-MD5, NTLM, PLAIN, and LOGIN.
3. A SMTP Submission port supporting RFC 4409 is built in ready to go on port 587.
4. The IMAP4 server supports RFC 2060 IMAP4rev1, with support for IMAP4, and IMAP2 clients. Shared mailboxes are supported using aliases.
5. The directory server is a basic Ph and LDAPv2/LDAPv3 server which supports looking up users on the EIMS server. CRAM-MD5, DIGEST-MD5, and plaintext authentication is supported.

• • A PowerMac G3 or later that supports OS X. EIMS 3.3 is Intel native.
  • Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later. Mac OS X 10.4.11 or 10.5.5 or later is recommended. Mac OS X 10.5 users should use EIMS 3.3.7.
  • Full time internet connection is recommended.
• Mac OS 8/9 System Requirements:
• • A PowerMac 6100/7100/8100 or later, a G3 or better recommended.
  • Mac OS 8.5 to Mac OS 9.2.2. Version 8.6, 9.1, or 9.2.2 recommended.
  • Full time internet connection is recommended.
  • 68k Macs are no longer supported for EIMS 3.3.
  • EIMS Server 3.3 can run on system versions back to System 7.1, but systems that old are not officially supported.
  • EIMS Admin 3.3 definitely requires Mac OS 8.5 or later.
