Classic Window Management 1.1 description
Classic Window Management 1.1 is released with an aim to lend you the option to have your OS X windows grouped (or layered) together by application, the way windows were in Mac OS 9. So if you click on one window to bring it to the front, all of that app's other windows come forward with it. This is especially useful with the Finder - a simple click on the Desktop will bring all open Finder windows to the front (standard behavior in OS 9, but absent in OS X; CWM fixes that!)
CWM lets you pick which type of window layering you prefer to be the default (Classic Style or standard OS X Style), and allows you to configure a modifier key to override it when you want to. For example, if Classic Style layering is enabled, you can still bring just a single window from an application to the front by using the modifier. You get the best of both worlds!
CWM is implemented as a module for Unsanity's Application Enhancer (APE). As such, detailed control over which applications are affected by CWM is available through the APE Manager preference pane. Application Enhancer *must* be installed and active for CWM to function.
Requirements:
- Mac OS X 10.2 or higher Application Enhancer
