BeeFree 2.0.1 is released as a simple yet effective and professional extension, also called add-on, for Mozilla Firefox. It adds a new feature to Mozilla Firefox useful to help you to defend (a bit more) your privacy online. It'll prevent to web search engines to know which links, of their search results, you're going to visit!

Beefree works in a very simple way. It'll detect whenever you're looking at the results of one online-search of yours. This is possible using a filter made on purpose per search engine. It's also the reason why not all search engines, worldwide, are supported; it's because every search engine has its own way to handle the search results, and every search engine needs a different filter.

Beefree is able to remove others HTTP headers too. For example, the useless Accept header is removed together with those headers of the Accept-* family. This is useful to avoid some information (like the language of your browser) to leak.

To increase your privacy, beefree will remove the referer link out of your HTTP headers. This feature is used when you're surfing on web search engines but also when you're going to visit an external link found on a web search engine! HTTP referrers  are a quite big issues for your privacy, because they can leak the keywords you used on a search engine to unknown websites.
