1. Content Delivery While You Sleep
   • Automatic allows you to set up subscriptions for virtually any content linked in RSS feeds: podcasts, videocasts, torrentcasts... Rule of thumb: if it ends in '-cast', you can get it with Automatic.
   • Once set up, there's nothing else to do but sit back and wait. Automatic will fetch and deliver the latest content for your subscriptions right to your download folder, so all that's left for you is to find some time to enjoy it!
2. Filter Out Those Weeds
   • Occasionally you'll come across a feed that has just the content you want. More often than not, however, the wheat will be mixed in with a lot of chaff, and that's where Automatic's filtering comes in.
   • You can either set up filters that will apply to whole feeds or just to specific subscriptions, for greater versatility. Either way, filters are implemented with powerful regular expressions, so you can construct virtually any filter you like. Don't know anything about regular expressions? No problem! The included tips and tricks documentation will quickly get you started with the basics.
3. Keep Track Of Where It's Been
   • Automatic records every items it downloads, and you can easily check the history to see what, when and from where. That way, you won't be wondering where that file in the downloads folder came from, and can easily tweak the filters to pass it over next time.
4. Code On a Diet
   • Nobody likes a hog, so Automatic has been designed to be extremely lightweight and easy on the resources. It doesn't even run all the time: instead, it launches only when it's time to check for new content, and even then stays alive for a very brief time. Of course, you'll never notice it!
