FindFilesX is a scriptable application that enables AppleScript developers to gather lists of files and folders starting at any location on any drive connected to a Macintosh, including items in subfolders, no matter how deep.
FindFilesX is a Mac OS X-native bundled Mach-O application; this means FindFilesX runs as fast as possible on your Mac OS X computer. You can use FindFilesX to search for files with a wide range of criteria, such as file kind, date modified, label, and name starts with, just to name a few.
Main features:
- Search any disk or folder, optionally including subfolders
- Search for files and folders by name, size, type code, creator code, kind, label, comments, version, creation date, or modification date
- Include files, folders, or both in lists
- Optionally display an informative status dialog during searches
- Ignore portions of time and dates during date calculations
- Cancel the search mid-stream by pressing and holding the Command-Period key combination.
Enhancements:
- Quick update to my quick update (*sigh*) to fix a crashing bug introduced in 1.0.9 due to a misplaced CFRelease() call.
- Made search location error reports more helpful.
