An ultra-reliable backup tool designed for standalone Mac OS X desktop systems. The primary interface has been re-designed to deliver a significantly improved ease-of-use, and version 1.3 further enhances the ability of BRU LE to provide robust and reliable data backup and restore functionality that has characterized its operation. Utilizing the same proven BRU I/O engine implemented with BRU Server for Mac OS X, BRU LE tape-based archives are fully compatible with BRU Server and vice versa.
BRU LE provides D2T and D2D operations for the OS X desktop user supporting all formats of tape - USB, Firewire, SCSI, SAS, and Fibre-Channel - and any writable disk volume - including network volumes for backup destinations. No additional drivers, hacks or kexts are required - BRU Server utilizes the existing OS X device layer so you are assured compatibility with both new versions of OS X and new versions of BRU LE.
