PDF2ID recreates the intended construction and layout of the document by forming paragraphs; applying styles; regrouping independent graphic elements; extracting images; creating tables; recovering annotations and other elements automatically. PDF2ID converts every page in a PDF file to an equivalent page in the resulting InDesign document.

PDF2ID enables recovery and reuse of the contents stored in PDF documents making them available for use by anyone. Since PDF2ID is a plug-in for Adobe InDesign it is not necessary to acquire and install additional PDF editing software and tools, resulting in huge cost savings in both time and expense.

Major Features:

1. Convert the entire PDF document to the InDesign Format. Every page in a PDF file is converted to an equivalent page in the resulting InDesign file.
2. Reuse only the text in a PDF document within a new InDesign file. Indicate whether text positioning should be retained and transformed text should be included.
3. Retrieve the images stored in a PDF document directly into a new InDesign file. Designate whether clipping paths should be maintained and specify image related options.
4. Recover the Annotations contained in a PDF file and reuse them in an InDesign document. Control the formatting options.
5. A new Typeface Library remembers and stores all font mappings providing full access and control over the stored mappings.
