SafeShred provides a virtual file shredder that completely shreds the file to pieces. SafeShred is so powerful files shredded on your computer are permanently destroyed.SafeShred is also scriptable, so you can use AppleScript to securely remove files from your Computer.
Main features:
- Shred files (data and resource forks) and folders beyond recovery
- Choice between 5 shredding patterns, including the method used by the US Dept. of Defense (DoD 5022.22 M)
- Overwrite files up to 20 times, foiling the toughest recovery methods
- Fully scriptable with AppleScript
- Shreds Trash, free disk space and entire volumes
- Scrambles shredded files names, making them indeciperable in the Folders data fork
- Customizable alert sounds for the beginning and end of shredding.
Version restrictions:
- 15 days trial.
