CrashPlan is the tool you need so you wont have to remember to backup! No more button to push or CDs to burn for archives. Just press "start backup" and CrashPlan runs quietly in the background, automatically protecting your files without slowing you down.

Out of the box, CrashPlan is configured to automatically backup your documents to our data center, CrashPlan Central. Just press start and youve got a backup destination thats free for 30 days. (We ask you if you want to keep using it at the end of the trial.)

CrashPlan Central is good, but backing up to another PC is even better! This avoids monthly fees and delays in getting your data back. Here weve installed CrashPlan on a windows desktop called My Old PC.

Dont have another computer? Invite a friend (here its Sarah) to be your backup buddy. If Sarah installs CrashPlan, you can backup your important documents to each other, without any monthly fees.
Allowing someone to backup to you is free, you only pay for CrashPlan if you are backing up.

You can easily manage how much space a friend gets, where their files are stored, when to run a backup, etc. Worried about using too much space on your friends computer? Buy a USB drive to hold your data at their house.
