Tunecore-Announcer 0.1.0 description

Communicate with your servers and daemons using the XMPP (aka Jabber) protocol

Tunecore-Announcer is ideal for virtual instances where you have servers coming online based on workload.
A server or process can register with your XMPP server when it comes online and add you to its roster. You can then easily send it control messages using your favorite Jabber client (Adium, iChat, etc).
A useful place to use this program is in an cloud environment where you have transient server instances starting and stopping based on workload.
At TuneCore we do a lot of media transcoding in the Amazon EC2 cloud and we need to keep track of our virtual instances. We created the TunecoreAnnouncer to help us with that.

Enhancements
- Added the ability to add custom commands by using a command dictionary file, which is specified on the command line.
