- PhoneHerald can call a group of people and complete those calls, but thats only the beginning! PhoneHerald can also call groups of people in the future - as far out as a year or more. PhoneHerald can even schedule individual calls. PhoneHerald also allows users to set up "good" calling periods on a weekly Monday-to-Sunday schedule, to avoid calling people at inappropriate times.

- People called by PhoneHerald can select from many choices in your main message, using the numbers on the telephone keypad to make choices, either single-digit choices, or multiple-digit choices (ending with the # button). Choices can include transferring the call to a live operator.
- Powerful To-Do List
- PhoneHerald can create and manage a To-Do List based on the results of certain calls. Calls can be set up such that certain choices available to the called person cause a To-Do to be entered. For example, a patient could request call-back if they could not make an appointment. Also, incomplete calls can become To-Dos for future follow-up.

- PhoneHerald can be configured to email you when certain events happen - like when someone wants a call-back, leaves a message, or if a call cannot be completed after repeated attempts. You can also opt to receive messages when a set of calls is complete.

- PhoneHerald can be configured to deliver individualized messages. Messages can be customized with names, numbers, dates, schedule information, book titles, medical data, or any other personal information. Custom messages can be assembled using pre-recorded sound files or recordings made on the computer with a microphone, then individual information can be "merged" in using PhoneHeralds text-to-speech capability.
- Data Import
- PhoneHerald permits data import (names, numbers, dates, fields) from standard comma- and tab-delimited text files from databases, spreadsheets and contact managers.
- Cost Effective
- PhoneHerald runs on inexpensive standard Apple Macintosh computers, such as the Mac mini and iMac. A staff member can still use the PhoneHerald Mac as their desktop computer while calls are in progress. PhoneHerald does not require the use of expensive add-on cards or special hardware. Parliant provides a USB Telephone Adapter that connects to the computer and phone line. Multiple line support simply requires the connection of additional telephone adapters, and a standard USB hub.
