Kick-off! X 1.7.2b1 is a useful software that is used as an automatic crash detection and recovery system. Using a combination of hardware and software, Kick-off! watches USB Macs for system and application crashes, and automatically restarts the computer when they occur.
Enhancements:
- Background software updated to match PowerKey 4.3.2b1.
- This is a public beta to fix a launch problem on OS X 10.5 "Leopard".
Requirements:
- The "OS X" Kick-off! 1.7.2 software requires Mac OS X 10.1 or higher.
- The "Classic" Kick-off! 1.7.2 software requires Mac OS 8.6 or 9.x. It also requires that your system has CarbonLib 1.4 or later. The current version of CarbonLib will automatically be installed by the Kick-off! installer if necessary.
- The Kick-off! hardware works on any desktop Macintosh with a built-in USB port. It may work with some USB upgrade cards, but this configuration is not guaranteed. It can be connected to a USB hub. May not be compatible with some models of PowerBook or iBook. Use with a flat-panel iMac or PowerBook requires a set of adapter power cables (available separately).
