If you are working with imported data, use the local face operations to perform operations on solids independent of a history tree. ViaCAD supports advanced modeling operations not found in a package at this price point including variable radius blends, chamfering, shelling, bending, and twisting to create complex yet precise (not facetted) shapes.

For 2D users, ViaCAD provides a large collection of drafting tools including lines, arcs, ellipses, conics, and a variety of spline types. Use the chamfer, fillet, trim, and break tools to further modify 2D geometry. ViaCAD also provides unique tools for automatically creating 2D drawings from 3D parts. These tools include the ability to create sections, auxilary, and detail views. For annotation, ViaCAD supports over 24 dimension types and a variety of dimensioning standards.

Share your data using the extensive export options that include DXF/DWG R12-2009, STEP, IGES, Rhino 3D(.3dm), Adobe Illustrator V6(.ai), OBJ, and SketchUp.
