Microspot have introduced a new product and a unique concept for a 3D program. This new application makes use of the fact that Microspot’s 3D products are made up of a small program (Toolbox) and at present 54 plug-ins (Tools). The basic Microspot 3D Toolbox is a FREE download comes with 9 plug-ins but you can buy add-on packs that add functionality as required. You can add any of the packs at any time. Just buy it and drag the contents into your 3D Toolbox upgrader folder.
The Free 3D Toolbox allows you to import Google SketchUp files and 3DS files and also opens it’s native 3DMF files. You can resize and edit the objects, add a base plate, color and or texture to the objects and add a background picture, navigate around and view from any angle and print. When you purchase the serial number for only $15.00 (£9.00/ €12.00) you can save your files and you also receive a free Library pack. This allows you to drag 3D objects in and out of the application for easy access. You can build your own libraries with 3D objects from SketchUp and 3DS files and also you have free access to the Microspot download site where you can download about 1500 free models.
The remaining 45 plug-ins are available as 8 mixed add on packs that have specific uses and can be downloaded from the Microspot web store and added to the 3D Toolbox. Microspot is also planning to release new packs as they become available for additional new functionality.
