Based on Helmut Derschs Panorama Tools, these Photoshop compatible plug-ins can simply be described as versitile, accurate and powerful.
LensFix is a plug-in for fixing lens imperfections including barrel and pincushion distortions, vignetting (light fall off), and chromatic aberrations.
LensFix includes a database of correction factors for many common lenses and easy interactive controls for fine tuning correction settings. The user can also add their own settings to the database. LensFix also includes adjustments to compensate for digital camera sensors that are not properly centered.
Main features:
- LensFix for fixing barrel, pincushion and "mustache" or eyebrow distortions, vignetting and chromatic aberrations. LensFix includes loadable databases of correction presets for many popular cameras and lenses.
- Adjust: for extracting or inserting corrected images to and from panoramas
- Correct: original interface for lens correction. Includes cut frame and fourier filter options
- Perspective: for changing the viewing angle of an image
- Remap: for converting panorama types including normal, cylindrical QTVR, spherical, fisheye and convex mirror. Barrel and pincushion distortions found in many lenses can be corrected using the radial shift filter that can adjust the red, green and blue channels separately if you wish. Whats more, the light fall off that commonly occurs near the edges of wide angle lenses can be corrected with the radial luminance filter.
