iSpeak It 3.3.9 is a useful program which serves as a perfect companion to the iPod or iPhone.

iSpeak It loads Word, PDF, Pages 2, RTF, AppleWorks, text and HTML documents. It downloads news, weather forecasts, driving directions, and arbitrary web pages as well as RSS feeds. iSpeak It then uses the Mac's text-to-speech engine and iTunes to convert the text into an MP3/AAC track.

Major Features:

1. Load and edit any document. iSpeak It provides built-in support for PDF, Word, Pages, AppleWorks, RTF, HTML or text.
2. Download any web page or RSS/Atom feed. iSpeak It remembers previous feed downloads to ensure you only get entries you haven't heard yet.
3. Save documents as an AIFF file.
4. Transfer a document to iTunes and convert it to an MP3, AAC, etc track in your library (MP3 versus AAC conversion is based on your import preference settings in iTunes; AAC conversion requires iTunes 4.0 or later).
5. Split long documents into multiple tracks, just like audiobooks.
6. Make documents bookmarkable so they remember where you left off, just like audiobooks.
7. Document text appears as lyrics on your iPod/iPhone so you can read along as you listen.
