iShout 1.0.1 description
iShout is a music player to listen to Shoutcast streams and record your favorite internet radios.
This software is under development and you may experience some bugs (nothing too serious, dont worry :-):
Low bitrated (<64 Kbits/s) streams sound funny. This is due to the player used by iShout (currently mpg123). It will be fixed as soon as Apple fixes Quicktime support for shoutcast streams (bugged since Quicktime 7.0).
Enhancements:
- Using mplayer (instead of mpg123) makes it possible to listen to low bitrate streams. It makes the software huge (~7MB) but this is temporary as it will use Quicktime one day and at least all streams will play nicely, not 10x faster.
- Recording and playing will now stop even when you force quit the application.
