Camera Match Vectorworks plugin 2009.0.1 offers you a fast and precise way to align a 3D view to a photograph. Vectorworks has some great 3D view manipulation tools, but when trying to align a 3D model to align with a photo, the process can be time consuming (and frustrating) at best. The Renderworks Camera object can help with this process, but it's just not designed for the task.

Trying to adjust the Renderworks Camera's many tuning controls while keeping the model in the correct place on the photo can take hours of trial & error. And after all the trial and error, the process can still leave some question about the accuracy of the view. This is where Camera Match comes in.

The Camera Match process involves placing a 3D reference point in your model, then placing a Camera Match object in a viewport's annotation space. The 3D reference point gives Camera Match the location and orientation of the model. The Camera Match object locates the reference point on the photo and establishes vanishing points by aligning control lines along elements in the photo.
