Word Search Builder DLX uses a brute force method rather than any logic to find a suitable position for any word. This means random positions and orientations are tried until a position can be found within the puzzle.

Attempts are tracked and when the number of attempts reaches the Word Limit the puzzle is emptied and  build process is started over from the first word. Rebuilds are also tracked and when the attempted builds reaches the Build Limit, the entire build is abandoned. Word Search Builder DLX uses this method to not have the build function run forever looking for a suitable position for a word that can never be placed.
