Vendetta Online is a massive multiplayer game that permits thousands of players to interact as the pilots of spaceships in a vast universe.
Vendetta Online will let users create their characters in any direction they desire, becoming rich captains of industry, military heroes, or outlaws.
A fast-paced, realtime "twitch" style combat model gives intense action, coupled with the backdrop of RPG gameplay in a massive online galaxy.
Three major player factions form a delicate balance of power, with several NPC sub-factions creating situations of economic struggle, political intrigue and conflict. The completely persistent universe and detailed storyline add to the depth of immersion, resulting in a unique online experience.
Character progression takes place in the form of a variety of skills and other attributes, any combination of which can potentially open up new gameplay content (missions, ships, equipment, trade items, etc). General activity related to a skill can increase it (trading can increase the Commerce skill, etc), but taking on missions will generally increase skills that much faster.
Missions are offered by particular factions, with mission difficulty and availability increasing as the character becomes better known to the faction. Rising in the esteem of a given faction can itself yield better item prices, a wider item selection, and access to unusual "special" equipment available only to those who have proven themselves worthy.
It is possible to win many types of accolades and commendations from particular factions, all of which can help demonstrate the characters accomplishments. These and other character stats may be viewed by other users in a Character Information panel.

Enhancements
- New weapon: the Shield Turret. This defensive weapon may be equipped only to vessels with Turrets (Atlas, Behemoth), and fires a small shielded area to deflect incoming fire. Available in Odia M14 (expensive) or the UIT Capitol stations (much more cheaply).
- "Next Border Engagements" mission indicates when the next set of Dynamic Warfare missions will start, and what size the will be.
- Fixed crashing bug when logging off with a damaged Atlas ship.
- Fixed lua error when logged in and a character hasnt been chosen yet and a Border Skirmish sector was conquered at the same time.
