The creators of 3D Ultra Minigolf present their new game Minigolf Mania - a 3D computer minigolf game with a mixture of classic minigolf holes with many game elements that could not occur in real life.
Up to four people can play on the same computer. It has one 9 hole tutorial course and three full 18 hole courses, Golden Hills, which is more classic; Lava Islands, which has many dangerous lava pools; and Snowy Fields which is made more difficult by all the ice.
There are four different game types. Normal play is just like normal minigolf with the winner being who gets in the cup in the fewest strokes. In Race play the number of strokes does not matter.
The winner is the person who gets in the cup the quickest. In the Safari game the player must hit all the safari animals to open up the cup. And the final game type, Safari Race, is a combination of Safari and Race modes.
While playing Minigolf Mania players can earn golf balls with many different super powers. There are 40 different balls with many different super powers. Some of these powers will let the ball be nudged forward, sideways or upwards. Other super powers will affect the rotation of the balls causing them to take a curved path.
Still other other powers will let the ball roll safely on lava or roll without much slipping on ice. There are also a number of super powers that let the player affect other balls - like "Zot-a-Ball" that will shoot a laser at all other balls.
Minigolf Mania tracks the best scores in online top scores tables. Scores are saved for all of the different play modes on all the courses, and the worldwide best scores of all time and the best scores in the the last 24 hours can be viewed in the game with the click of a button. Players can also earn points based upon how well they do on each different hole. This is used to create an online worldwide player rating.
